Our 3rd annual show began with Opening Night. With the melodic tunes of Two Tone Pony, our guests nibbled and strolled around the spaces which our team and artists had worked all year round to create. It was a magical night of chatter and sales for our artists, all coming together for a good cause.
The following Saturday’s weather held beautifully, where our attendees enjoyed home backed goods and sandwiches on the lawn. Many enjoyed the live demonstrations of woodturning and pottery, or maybe you were a little one that enjoyed the sculpture treasure hunt? Some even returned from last year just to get one of Dave Arnall’s famous hand lathed baby rattles! As the day came to a close, our team eagerly prepared for another day…
Sunday’s weather however, was not so kind. Soon after our first guests began to arrive we had a flash lightning storm. As we battened down the hatches and ensured everyone was dry, we braced for a slow turnout. However, despite the worsening weather conditions, our ticket holders continued to trickle in and many of the largest purchases were made that afternoon. We feel so humbled to have experienced such support from our local community and those that travelled far and wide to give their time and efforts to the AIMG cause. We cannot thank our team and support more for making this show possible AGAIN, and for those who have peaked interest to carry on the show into the future, bigger and better than before.
Because of your generosity, we donated over $12,000 to the Cure Brain Cancer Foundation this year!
This year the Sculpture Society generously donated a $300 cheque for the People’s Choice award. Congratulations goes to Meg Woodhead for winning the 2022 People’s Choice award for her stunning cockatoo sculpture
‘Let’s do this!’
We also thank Bob Teasdale for once again donating ‘Autumn Leaves’ to this years sculpture raffle. You generosity knows no bounds.
A special thank you must go to the generous artists who were involved in demonstrating and those who volunteered to supervise galleries, assist in the food area, manage square reader sales, and welcoming visitors to the event. Your support is greatly appreciated.
